VIP Tooling was created by Vonnegut Industrial Supply's stockholders to service their customers' special cutting tool requirements.  The VIP Tooling division was incorporated as a separate company in 1974.  Today VIP Tooling is an international company that supplies customers worldwide.

From a tool grinding company, VIP Tooling has evolved into a modern machine shop with the latest in CAD/CAM and CNC equipment.  The diversity of equipment represents VIP Tooling's philosophy of not being dependent upon subcontractors to complete projects for our customers.

Today VIP Tooling employs 19 people, and its customer base reflects industries representing aerospace, off-road trucks, and the automotive sectors.

VIP Tooling's commitment to supplying quality products is demonstrated by the Ford Motor Company Q101 awarded in 1992; ISO 9002 quality certification awarded in 1995; and QS-9000 quality certification awarded in 1996.  Recently in 2002, VIP Tooling was also awarded the ISO/TS 16949: 2000 quality certification, one of the first companies to fulfill this esteemed achievement.  VIP Tooling also received the State of Indiana Quality Award in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
